Yes, a public fax machine is available in the Library. It is located in the Digital Print Services (DPS) center, on the second floor north of the library (PLN-220). Their phone number is: 657-278-3964. DPS is open the followring hours: Mon-Thur 7:30am-7:00pm, Fri 7:30am-5:00pm, Sat 10:00am-6:00pm, Sun closed. The prices for faxing (as of Spring 2015) are:
Outgoing (U.S.): first page=$1.00, second page=$0.75
Outgoing (Int'l): first page=$1.50, second page=$1.00
Incoming (anywhere): $0.25 per page
Cover and Confirmation page: no charge
Alternatively, if you need to fax outside of the DPS's hours, there is a public fax at the TSU Information Desk, in the main lobby of the TSU. It is a SEND ONLY fax service. The cost is $2 for the first page, and $1 for each additional page. It is available all hours that the TSU is open. The TSU's typical hours are: M-F 7am-10pm, Sa 10-8, Su 10-10pm; confirm current hours here: http://asi.fullerton.edu/tsu/hoursOfOperation.asp or calling 657-278-2468
The closest fax for RECEIVING is off-campus at Office Depot in the Chapman/State College shopping center (2429 Chapman Ave, Fullerton, CA 92831. 714-773-1415). The receiving cost is $1.50 per page. You can also send, at the same cost as the TSU ($2 first page, $1 each additional). Office Depot's typical business hours are: M-F 8am-9pm, Sa 9-9, Su 10-6; confirm current hours here: http://www.officedepot.com/storelocator/findStore.do
A faster and cheaper alternative is to fax for free using free fax websites. These include: http://faxzero.com/ , http://www.gotfreefax.com/ , http://myfax.com/free/ , http://www.faxfree.com/ , https://www.hellofax.com/ . While their fax service is free, they require your email addess, and some may include advertising on your cover sheet. Read their terms & conditions before using their service.
