It depends. Libraries have agreements with ebook providers, and these agreements usually state that the ebooks may only be used by people who have library cards at the specific library. However, if you find an ebook at another library that you need for your research, check with a reference librarian for help. It is possible that either a portion of the ebook or a print version of the book could be available through Interlibrary Loan.

Keep in mind that you may also be able to get a library card at libraries other than the CSUF Pollak Library, and then you would also have access to that library’s ebooks. For example, the Los Angeles Public Library allows all residents of California to have library cards, even if you don’t live in Los Angeles.
